VP on relationship with Marcos: We’re okay

(UPDATE) VICE President Sara Duterte said she and President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. are “okay.”

“I believe that I still have the trust of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.,” Duterte said when asked about her relationship with the Chief Executive Sunday.

She issued the statement amid reports of a rift in the UniTeam which was set up to support the candidacy of Marcos and Duterte in 2022.

Last November 13, House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez denied the rift.

“We always work together; it’s still a UniTeam. The President always wants us to work together not just in Congress with the executive but as a country, so we will always strive for that,” the president of the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD) said.

Aside from Lakas-CMD, the members of the alliance include the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas, Hugpong ng Pagbabago and Partido ng Masang Pilipino.
