Transport Min. Congratulates KSA on Being Member of IMO
The Minister of Transport and Logistics Services Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, in his name and on behalf of all male and female employees of the transport and logistics system, congratulated King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on the Kingdom’s victory as a member of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Council for the years 2024-2025.
Al-Jasser said: “Today we celebrate a distinguished national achievement that culminates the great support we see from the wise leadership in various transport sectors”.
KSA Entering Era of Success
He noted that the Kingdom is experiencing a historical stage with multiple successes like its membership in IMO and huge achievements, locally and globally. Therefore, KSA is maintaning a distinguished international position in international organizations and forums.
Consequently, this has enabled it to host many important events and global summits. For example, it was announced that KSA will be the host city of Expo 2030.
Al-Jasser stressed the continuation of efforts and deepening of bilateral relations between the member states of various organizations. Therefore this provided the opportunity to highlight the Kingdom’s efforts and initiatives in the transport and logistics sector. This is in accordance with the strategy that the Crown Prince has launched.
This strategy adopts many ambitious initiatives to contribute to the maritime sector development. This has consolidated the Kingdom’s position as a global logistics center in order to achieve the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
