With the race for a top four finish in the DStv Premiership heating up, Kaizer Chiefs have received a warning from Cape Town City, who are their next opponents. 

The Citizens will be at FNB Stadium this Saturday for their final match of the 2022/23 season against Amakhosi and are aiming to finish the campaign on a high with nothing less than a victory.

With the Soweto giants currently in 4th place on the standings with 44 points and City in 5th place with 42 points, Eric Tinkler’s side is looking at overtaking Arthur Zwane and his team to finish in a higher position, according to influential midfielder Thabo Nodada.

“Yes, this is definitely an opportunity for us to make up some ground and claim that fourth spot. I think that’s what is on the table. More than that, there’s pride, there’s a good finish to the season and there’s making your supporters happy,” said Nodada, speaking through the club’s media department.

“I think both sets of supporters deserve that they should get the spot and it’s the team that is most prepared on the day that will get it and I think that will be us. So, I’m definitely looking forward to it, looking forward to the competition,” he said.
