Ange Postecoglou’s side are still bidding to eclipse the points record of 106 set under Brendan Rodgers in the 2016/17 season which can only be achieved by four straight wins.

The toughest of those will be facing old rivals Rangers, who will be desperate to put a stop to Celtic creating history.

Celtic have dominated the rivalry between the two this season, winning three of the four meetings so far, drawing the other, and are one match away from a treble.

Rangers vs Celtic: What has been said?

Gers boss Michael Beale speaking after the win over Aberdeen: “Sometimes I think we’re the most wasteful team in the final third that I’ve ever seen with the amount of chances that we have in games that we don’t take.

“I think you saw a difference when Alfredo comes on in terms of energy but not a positive difference.

“We need a focal point for the team for sure.

“Antonio (Colak) isn’t fit at the moment and Alfredo’s obviously going to be moving on. I have already confirmed that.

“I thought Fashion (Sakala) and Rabbi (Matondo) gave us a different type of frontline today.

“We had some passages of really good play but we have to be more decisive if we want to feel at ease at the end of the game.”
