JD Logistics, the logistics arm of e-commerce giant JD, has announced the launch of phase two of its Kunshan Asia No.1 Intelligent Logistics Park. Combined with phase one, the park is now capable of sorting 4.5 million parcels per day, the company said in a statement on Wednesday. According to the official announcement, JD’s logistics network currently ensures same-day or next-day delivery for “over 93% of retail orders from the East China region.” The Beijing-based company achieved 34.3% growth to RMB 36.7 billion in the first quarter, with revenue from external clients accounting for approximately 70% of its total revenue.
