ITV I’m A Celebrity’s Jamie Lynn Spears reveals question Britney asked before jungle appearance as she talks about ‘complicated’ upbringing

Jamie Lynn Spears has revealed the question her sister Britney asked her before she headed into the Australian jungle for ITV’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!

Actress and singer Jamie Lynn, the younger sister of pop sensation Britney, shared more about their relationship in a chat with Made In Chelsea star Sam Thompson, who she has been seen bonding with in recent episodes.

In camp, Sam asked Jamie Lynn whether Britney’s kids saw her as a “cool aunt” and whether she thinks the star will be watching the show. Jamie Lynn, 32, said she thought her sister would be “worried” about her while she’s in the jungle and said: “I think she’s probably checking in on me heavily”.

Jamie Lynn, who has been opening up about her relationship with her sister recently after seemingly avoiding the topic at the start of the show, revealed that Britney questioned whether she was really going to do the show before she flew out to Australia, and also mused about how the singer will have reacted to her crying during her time in camp.

“I do think she’s probably like, ‘Why would she do that?’,” Jamie Lynn told Sam. “She asked me that before I came here, she was like, ‘You’re really going to do it?’ I was like, ‘I’m going to go to Australia and check it out.’” She then added: “My crying, she’d probably be like, ‘Ya’ll get her the f*** out of there, right now!’ She’s a good big sister, she is.”

Jamie Lynn Spears and Sam Thompson had a chat about her famous sister

The siblings have had a troubled relationship in the past and Britney recently spoke about not getting along with her sister in her memoir The Woman In Me. But Jamie Lynn told the camp she loves her sister. “Me and her throw down,” the mum-of-two admitted, adding: “The world’s seen that. I’ve learned to stop talking about it publicly, but you know what, family’s fight. Listen, we just do it better than most.”

Sam replied: “Everyone does man. Everyone’s got stuff they argue about all the time.” Opening up further about their upbringing, Jamie Lynn said it was “a very complicated” one.

“We’ve had very complicated circumstances and we both had to deal with them in different ways,” Jamie Lynn said. “Sometimes we took it out on each other when perhaps we shouldn’t have. I’ve never, ever… I’ve been the one person in her life – and she can say this – I’ve never taken anything from her, you know? I’ve been the one person in her life who’s always said, ‘I just want to be your sister’.”

She added: “We just had a really weird life so we can’t explain it to many people, but at the end of the road I know that that’s my family, I love them.”
