A new Aussie role for the former chief of SGX-listed Frasers Logistics and Commercial Trust leads this week’s list of personnel moves from around the region, with new appointments at Hong Kong-listed Kaisa Prosperity and Shanghai Zendai Property also making our roundup.

Former Frasers Logistics and Commercial Trust chief executive Robert Wallace has joined boutique investment manager Terraplex in Melbourne, Australia as a director and partner. Wallace is expected to boost the private fund and asset management capabilities of Terraplex, the company said in a statement. Frasers Logistics and Commercial Trust had announced Wallace’s departure in February of this year, with the executive eventually staying with the company until mid-August.

Kaisa Prosperity Holdings said on 25 August said that it has appointed Xie Binhong as an executive director with the company with effect from that same day. Now 40, Xie is stepping up to the board of the property management division of Shenzhen-based Kaisa Group after first joining the group in 2011, whereafter he served as an assistant president with the company’s commercial division and later as a vice president for the Shenzhen region.

Shanghai Zendai Property said on 24 August that it has appointed Zou Yang, 36, as a non-executive director on its board with effect from that same day. Zou is joining the board of the troubled mainland developer while he continues to serve as chief investment officer, senior vice president and general manager of the investment management department for Greater China at Fosun Hive, the real estate division of Fosun Group.

Savills Investment Management announced this month that it has appointed Apwinder Foster as the firm’s first global head of strategy and client capital. Based in London, Foster previously served as head of product strategy with the group’s DRC Savills Investment Management debt division since 2019 after having earlier worked as chief operating officer of that division. While taking on her new role, Foster will continue to oversee DRC Savills Investment Management’s fundraising initiatives.

Empyrion DC announced recently that it has hired Jiwon Hong as sales director for South Korea, as the data centre startup continues to build out its team in the region. Based in Seoul, Hong is now responsible for driving customer engagement in Korea and supporting the company’s expansion of its sustainable data centre platform across Asia Pacific. Before joining Empyrion DC Hong had experience with HashiCorp, Naver Cloud and EMC.

Clement Lai has joined Knight Frank in Hong Kong as a senior director and head of international residential for southern China with the property consultancy, according to a LinkedIn update. Lai takes on his new role after nearly a decade with Savills, where he had served most recently as a director with the international residential team. The industry veteran also has previous experience with HSBC in the UK and Hong Kong.

Veera Babu has been promoted to managing director for tenant representation with Cushman & Wakefield in India, taking his latest step up after nearly 18 years with the company, according to a LinkedIn update. Babu’s promotion comes after the veteran office consultant spent two years as a managing director for Hyderabad and East India with C&W. The graduate of Acharya Nagarjuna University also has previous experience with Singapore’s Ascendas, which is now part of CapitaLand.

Singapore property consultancy Propnex has promoted Kelvin Fong to deputy chief executive officer with the company, according to an announcement. Fong has now been with Propnex since 2003 and was already an executive director and board member with the SGX-listed company before taking this latest step up. At the same time that Fong received his promotion, another Propnex executive, Eddie Lim, was promoted to the newly created role of chief agency officer.
