Acer’s Swift Go ultrabooks with Intel EVO certification recently received an Intel Meteor Lake refresh and some of the lower-end SKUs are already discounted at Amazon. The Core Ultra 5 125H model, for instance, is available for $849.99 with free shipping in the US.
The price point is particularly competitive since Acer is offering premium-grade features such as an OLED display and a robust port selection. It features 400 nit brightness and Display HDR 500 True Black certification, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and 90 Hz refresh rate.
The Core Ultra 5 125H processor comes with 4 performance cores + 8 efficiency cores + 2 low power cores for a total of 18 threads. The performance cores can boost to 4.5 GHz and benefit from 18 MB of L3 cache. This processor also integrates an Intel AI Boost NPU clocked at 1.4 GHz as well as an Intel Arc iGPU with 7 Xe cores clocked at 2.2 GHz. Complementing the CPU are 16 GB of LPDDR5x-6400 RAM (non-upgradeable) and a replaceable 512 GB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD.
Port selection includes 2x Thunderbolt 4 + 2x USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 connectors, an HDMI 2.1 video out, microSD card reader and audio combo jack. Internet connectivity is ensured only through the Intel Killer AX1675i Wi-Fi 6E + BT 5.3 card. Other outstanding features are the 1440p webcam and the fingerprint reader for improved security. Acer provides a 65 Wh battery that can be charged via a 100 w USB-C charger. This model weighs 2.91 lbs (1.32 kg).
