EO 59, signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin on April 30 on behalf of the President, underscores the need to further improve the country’s infrastructure landscape in line with the administration’s initiatives to transform the country’s economy.

There are 185 IFPs approved by the National Economic and Development Authority.

“There is a need to further streamline the process for issuance of required licenses, clearances, permits, certifications or authorizations to expedite the implementation of IFPs, consistent with RA (Republic Act) 9485, as amended,” the circular read.

EO 59 applies to all national government agencies, including government-owned or -controlled corporations and other government instrumentalities, local government units involved in the issuance of licenses, clearances, permits, certification or authorizations, as required by the approved list of IFPs.
