Saudi Minister of Commerce, Majid AlKassabi

Saudi Arabia and Iraq held talks over a number of investment opportunities including logistics and electricity connectivity, Saudi Press Agency reported, citing Saudi Minister of Commerce, Majid AlKassabi.

Both parties discussed all the mutual economic, investment and trade opportunities as well as challenges, AlKassabi said on the sidelines of the the fifth session of the Saudi-Iraqi Coordination Council in Jeddah.

Saudi-Iraq trade exchange increased to $1.5 billion in 2022, he added.

AlKassabi indicated that the developments of Arar Port helped the Kingdom receive 6,000 pilgrims daily, as it became a universal port to boost the trade exchange between both countries.
